HeALTH, WELLNESS, & COMMUNITY CARE

As we gather to share knowledge and ideas at our annual conference, the health and wellness of our conference community remain of utmost priority. We want to ensure that our conference is inclusive and accessible to everyone, especially people with disabilities, chronic illnesses, or compromised immune systems who have been most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. To that end, the following guidelines are intended to help create a safe and enjoyable conference experience for all participants. They apply to all registered attendees, presenters, and our on-site team supporting our conference. These guidelines are subject to change.

Thank you for helping create a safe and welcoming environment at our conference!

Before You Travel: We recommend testing before you travel to Denver. Please DO NOT travel or attend the conference if you test positive for COVID-19 or you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or other respiratory viruses.

Onsite Testing: Onsite COVID-19 testing will be required at registration before taking part in any WDN Connect activities. We will provide a test for you to take before you receive your welcome materials, and all attendees will also receive self-administered tests for the duration of the conference as part of their materials. Please test in your room before attending each day of the conference.

Masking: While mask mandates are no longer widely in place, we strongly encourage you to mask in group settings while at our event, and especially while you are in smaller groups or breakout sessions. We will provide masks as part of your conference materials. If you’re speaking with someone wearing a mask, as a default, put yours on as well. If someone asks you to put on a mask, respect their request and mask up.

Social Distancing: We aim to create a safe and inclusive conference experience, respecting each participant’s comfort level and preferences. Color-coded buttons to indicate social distance preferences will be available to all participants at the conference registration desk. Regardless of your personal preferences, please be understanding and respectful of each other's choices.

If You Feel Sick During or Following Our Event: Any participant feeling unwell or displaying COVID-19 symptoms may not participate in the conference. If you test positive for COVID-19, please notify the conference organizers at info@womendonors.org or text 415-532-3544 to develop a quarantine plan. In the event of a positive COVID-19 case during or within 5 days of our conference, we will notify all participants. All personal information will be held strictly confidential.

Altitude Sickness: Keep in mind that Denver’s high altitude may affect you if you're coming from a lower elevation. To help your body adjust, be sure to stay hydrated, avoid excessive alcohol, and ease into physical activity. Watch for signs of altitude sickness, such as headaches, fatigue, or shortness of breath, and take it easy if needed.

Accessibility: WDN Connect strives to be an accessible conference. Our conference hotel offers accessible rooms, and assistive listening systems and motorized scooters can be arranged directly through the hotel if needed. Our designated Wellness Room will be open throughout the weekend to decompress if needed. Please limit the use of perfumed products.
